South Korean PM meets European business leaders to boost investment

South Korean Prime Minister Han Seong-sook met with representatives from the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) and the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in Seoul to discuss strengthening economic ties and improving the investment environment for European companies.

During the joint forum, which was attended by approximately 200 business executives and diplomats, discussions focused on addressing regulatory challenges and enhancing direct communication between the Korean government and European investors. Prime Minister Han emphasized that Korea, Germany, France, and other EU members are trusted partners sharing values of free trade, innovation, and a rules-based international order.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the upcoming 19th Asia-Pacific German Business Conference (APK 2026), scheduled to be held in Seoul next month. She expressed hope that the event would serve as a significant platform for new investment and corporate cooperation between Korean and German enterprises.
