South Melbourne FC appoints Chris Karagounis to Board

South Melbourne FC has appointed Chris Karagounis to its Board of Directors to bolster the club’s commercial and organizational operations. Karagounis, the Managing Partner of the advisory firm Alex Kaar, specializes in leadership, board effectiveness, and senior appointments.

Co-President Bill Papastergiadis OAM stated that Karagounis’ experience in building high-performance teams will support the club’s future direction. Karagounis noted the personal significance of the role due to the club’s historical ties to the Greek community. The club has expressed a clear ambition to compete in the A-League.
