South Moravia wine harvest season attracts autumn tourists

The wine harvest season in South Moravia is reaching its peak, attracting tourists to wine cellars and historical sites. As the grape harvest concludes, autumn wine excursions continue through late September and October.

Various regions offer specialized tasting opportunities. In Šatovy, a weekly cellar rotation allows visitors to sample different wines from various producers until October 4. Milotice offers similar cellar street access through October 11. In Mikulčice, wine tasting events are scheduled to continue until the end of October, often paired with local folklore and traditions.

Other regional activities include open cellar events in Drnhoec, the Tour de burčák cycling and walking routes in the Kyjov region, and musical evenings in the historical cellars of Valtice.
