South Moravian real estate prices surge over last decade

Real estate prices in the South Moravian Region have undergone a massive transformation over the last decade. According to data from the Realiťák roku project and CEMAP, average offering prices for apartments in the region rose by 186.5%, increasing from 40,215 CZK/m² in July 2016 to 115,204 CZK/m² in July 2026.

The growth in house prices was even more pronounced, rising by 278.4% from 14,458 CZK/m² to 54,716 CZK/m². This represents the highest ten-year percentage increase among all Czech regions. While Brno-city remains the most expensive district at 134,685 CZK/m², the Brno-countryside district reached a significant milestone by exceeding 100,000 CZK/m².

Market speed has also increased significantly, with the average time to offer a property dropping from 150 days a year ago to 57 days. In terms of percentage growth, the Hodonín district saw the highest increase, with prices rising 339.5% over the decade.
