South Park returns for Season 29 under temporary title ‘South America’

The animated series ‘South Park’ has launched its 29th season under the temporary title ‘South America’. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone introduced the name change as a satirical jab, reportedly inspired by the patriotism of major tech companies.

The season premiere, titled ‘South American Biker Gangs’, focused on parents protesting e-bike obsession among children and included a controversial parody of Donald Trump. The premiere garnered approximately 4.2 million views within three days of release.

A new teaser for the upcoming episode features the character Butters confronting billionaires over the construction of AI data centers in residential neighborhoods. The series is currently following a biweekly release schedule on Comedy Central and Paramount+.
