South Park wins Outstanding Animated Program Emmy

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards have been presented, highlighting several major winners in technical and specialized categories. South Park secured the award for Outstanding Animated Program, marking its first win in this category since 2013. Following the announcement, the show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, shared a satirical social media post featuring a caricature of Donald Trump holding an Emmy.

In other notable results, the horror comedy Widow’s Bay emerged as a strong contender, winning eight of its 19 nominations, including a guest actress award for Betty Gilpin. The series Pluribus saw success in technical categories such as music composition and editing. In the limited series category, DTF St. Louis earned wins for directing and writing, as well as individual awards for actors David Harbour and Linda Cardellini.
