South Poland Terminal Zabrze to open September 2026

STS Logistic has announced that the South Poland Terminal Zabrze is scheduled to officially open on September 24, 2026. This project is considered a strategic investment for the development of Poland's transport infrastructure, specifically aimed at enhancing intermodal capacity and strengthening the country's railway network competitiveness.

The terminal is designed to manage high volumes of intermodal traffic, optimizing transshipment processes and reducing handling times to better integrate Poland into European transport corridors. Beyond operational efficiency, the project is intended to bolster national security by increasing the resilience of the Polish logistics system and diversifying cargo handling options.

Financing for the project was provided through the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Facility under the NextGenerationEU program, highlighting its role in strengthening Europe's economic and logistical resilience.
