South Sinai approves second phase of secondary school admissions
The Governor of South Sinai, Ismail Kamal, has approved the second phase of admission coordination for the first year of general secondary school for the 2026/2027 academic year. This decision follows requests from parents and members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, aimed at providing more students with opportunities to enroll based on available school capacity.
Minimum admission scores for the second phase vary by region. In Tawrat Sinai, Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, Abu Zenima, and Ras Sudr, the minimum score is set at 220. In Nuweiba and Abu Redis, the requirement is 210, while Saint Catherine has the lowest threshold at 205. Additionally, service schools in Tawrat Sinai, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Dahab have set a minimum admission score of 210.
