South Sinai launches school support initiative and expands Japanese school
South Sinai is implementing several educational developments and support initiatives for the upcoming academic year. The “Together to School” initiative has been launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Egyptian Charity House affiliated with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. This program aims to alleviate financial burdens on families by distributing 1,000 school bags, 1,000 jackets, 1,000 pairs of shoes, and stationery, alongside food vouchers for underprivileged women. Distribution has begun in the valleys of Sharm El-Sheikh (Al-Ruwaysat) and Saint Catherine (Wadi Feiran).
Additionally, Governor Ismail Mohamed Kamal has approved the operation of the preparatory stage at the Egyptian-Japanese School in Sharm El-Sheikh starting from the 2026/2027 academic year. This expansion allows students who completed the primary stage at the school to continue their education within the same institution, which is designed to serve students from kindergarten through secondary school.
