South Tangerang: Two students die in accident while fleeing armed group

Two students died in a motorcycle accident on Jalan Sutera Utama in Serpong Utara, South Tangerang, on Friday afternoon, October 9, 2026. According to South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Boy Jumalolo, the accident occurred while the victims were attempting to flee from a group of students carrying sharp weapons.

The incident began around 5:00 PM when a group of students, who had just finished supporting a junior high school futsal team, encountered another group of students from a private school in the Alam Sutera area. The second group was allegedly carrying weapons such as sickles, sickles, and machetes. In an attempt to escape the pursuit, the victims lost control of their motorcycle, resulting in the fatal crash.

Police have secured three students suspected of carrying sharp weapons in connection with the incident.
