South Valley Symphony announces season celebrating America’s 250th
The South Valley Symphony is launching its 53rd season, with a 2026-27 performance schedule centered on celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Led by music director and conductor Anthony Quartuccio, the volunteer ensemble will perform a four-concert series.
The season kicks off on October 4 at Guglielmo Winery in Morgan Hill. The opening program focuses on American musical identity, featuring works by Antonín Dvořák, John Williams, Morton Gould, Claire Grundman, Calvin Custer, and Howard Hanson. The repertoire spans classical roots, folk traditions, and film scoring.
Additional performances are scheduled for December 12 at the Sobrato Performing Arts Center in Morgan Hill, March 13, 2027, at a venue to be determined, and May 9, 2027, at Guglielmo Winery.
