South West Wales seeks investment proposals for major growth projects

The South West Wales Corporate Joint Committee (SWWCJC) has launched a call for expressions of interest for major capital projects designed to accelerate regional economic growth. Supported by the Welsh Government’s Local Growth Fund, the initiative targets ambitious proposals typically valued at over £500,000.

Eligible projects must demonstrate measurable economic benefits across Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, and Pembrokeshire. Key focus areas include business expansion, innovation, workforce development, and infrastructure improvements. Proposals are expected to align with the South West Wales Regional Economic Delivery Plan and must demonstrate financial viability, environmental sustainability, and the ability to create a lasting economic legacy.

Successful expressions of interest may be invited to proceed to a formal application and due diligence stage. The initiative aims to boost productivity, support jobs, and strengthen the competitiveness of the region, with projects expected to be completed by December 2028.
