Southampton defeat Norwich City 1-0 in Championship away win

Southampton secured a 1-0 away victory against Norwich City at Carrow Road in an EFL Championship fixture. Kuryu Matsuki scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute following a deflected cross from Samuel Edozie.

The win marks Southampton’s first away victory of the season and follows their recent success against Portsmouth. The result helps the Saints climb the Championship table as they aim for promotion spots.

Conversely, Norwich City suffered their fourth consecutive league defeat, leaving them in 18th place. The Canaries have struggled with defensive issues, conceding 19 goals in nine games, and are currently facing significant injury concerns, including the absence of top scorer Mohamed Toure and captain Kenny McLean.
