West Ham United to host Southampton in Championship clash

West Ham United and Southampton are set to face each other at the London Stadium on Saturday, 24 October, as part of the EFL Championship fixture list. The match features a high-stakes encounter between the division’s most productive attack, led by West Ham, and a Southampton defense that has recorded three consecutive clean sheets.

West Ham currently occupies second place in the standings with 22 points. Southampton sits in eighth place with 17 points, following a four-point deduction earlier in the campaign. Southampton manager Tonda Eckert has indicated that players Cyle Larin and Flynn Downes remain doubts for the starting lineup due to injury, though they may feature in the match. Caspar Jander is expected to be involved following a recent period of rest.
