Southampton winger Samuel Edozie linked with moves to European clubs
Southampton Football Club’s fringe winger Samuel Edozie has attracted interest from several clubs in the English Championship and across Europe as the summer transfer window approaches. Reported suitors include German side SC Paderborn 07, Danish champions FC Copenhagen and other unnamed Championship teams.
Edozie joined Southampton in September 2022 for around €10 million on a contract running to 2027. After limited Premier League minutes, he spent the 2024‑25 season on loan at RSC Anderlecht in Belgium, where he featured regularly. Returning for the 2025‑26 campaign, he made 14 league appearances but remained on the periphery. With one year left on his deal, Southampton may consider a sale to free up squad space and give the 22‑year‑old a chance for regular football.
A move would allow the club to reshape its attacking options ahead of a push for promotion, while providing Edozie an opportunity to continue his development at a club offering more playing time.
