Southeast Asia tech startups raise $7.4 bn in H1 2026, led by Singapore's DayOne
Southeast Asian technology firms secured $7.4 billion in the first half of 2026, a 130% jump from the same period a year earlier. Investors concentrated on fewer but larger deals, completing 127 funding rounds. Singapore‑based DayOne was the largest recipient, raising $4.5 billion across two Series C rounds to expand its data‑center operations.
Other notable fundraises included Supabase ($500 million), Airwallex ($320 million) and PixVerse ($300 million). Investment in enterprise infrastructure surged to $5.2 billion, a 260% increase, while enterprise applications drew $2 billion and fintech remained steady at $685 million. Late‑stage companies attracted $6 billion, early‑stage $1 billion and seed funding grew 68% to $328 million.
Mergers and acquisitions fell to 19 deals, but the largest was the $5.2 billion purchase of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres by KKR and Singtel. Six companies went public, with MiniMax achieving a $6.5 billion market‑cap IPO. Singapore dominated the ecosystem, accounting for $6.9 billion (94%) of regional tech funding, while Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur attracted $116 million and $104 million respectively.
