Southeast US Heat Wave Brings High Temps and Growing Storm Threat
Hot and humid conditions are expected across the Southeast US. In Alabama’s Gulf Coast area, temperatures will rise to the mid‑90s with heat‑index values between 100°F and 107°F, and a few isolated showers are possible.
South Florida will also see lows to mid‑90s and heat‑index readings of 105°F‑110°F. While early afternoon storms may develop, the rain threat will increase mid‑week as a weak frontal boundary stalls north of the region, bringing heavier downpours, street flooding and heightened heat‑risk warnings.
