Southeast Wisconsin placed under tornado watch as severe storms bring hail, wind and flood risk

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties in southeast Wisconsin, lasting until 9:00 p.m. The region remains under a Level 3 enhanced risk for large hail, damaging winds, isolated tornadoes and flash flooding. A flood watch covers the entire area due to expected additional rain on top of earlier storms.

Power outages affected roughly 2,400 We Energies customers, mainly in Fond du Lac County, while overall outages in southeast Wisconsin fell below 1,000. Storms continued moving eastward into south‑central Wisconsin and northwest Illinois, though no new warnings had been issued at the time of the latest updates.
