Southern California unveils 2026 Halloween seasonal attractions

Various seasonal attractions and displays are being unveiled for the 2026 Halloween season in Southern California.

At Disneyland Resort, the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, inspired by ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, has returned. This year’s ballroom features an edible gingerbread house designed to resemble the mansion’s façade, which includes a twirling skeleton ballerina. Additionally, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has introduced a themed confection display also inspired by ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, featuring edible scenes of Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie.

In Palos Verdes, the Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group has announced the return of ‘Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns’ at the South Coast Botanic Garden. Running from September 18th through November 1st, the event will feature over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins along a mile-long trail. The display will include themes such as a whimsical circus, a Día de los Muertos tribute, and an underwater scene, accompanied by a synchronized light show.
