Southern Future Council holds first executive meeting in Socotra

The executive body of the Southern Future Council in the Socotra archipelago held its inaugural meeting in Hadiboh. Chaired by Abdulghani Al-Anbari, the session focused on enhancing organizational and institutional work to better serve the local community and respond to the aspirations of Socotra's residents.

During the meeting, Al-Anbari emphasized the necessity of activating various council departments to improve performance and community presence. The council also discussed local issues and reviewed proposals from department officials to ensure coordination and integration across the organization's components.

As part of this restructuring process, Decision No. 1 of 2026 was issued to reorganize the council in the capital district of Hadiboh. The decision appointed several officials to lead various departments, including organizational, political, security, financial, media, and women and children's affairs, aiming to establish a new phase of structured organizational work.
