Southern Perú Copper to auction 24 lots of heavy machinery

Southern Perú Copper Corporation has announced a virtual auction of 24 lots of heavy machinery and industrial equipment as part of its asset renewal process. Organized by Gexac, the 100% virtual auction is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, at 11:00 a.m.

The assets are located at the company’s operations in Cuajone, Toquepala, and Ilo. The catalog features equipment from global brands including CAT, Grove, Terex, Volvo, Kenworth, and Ford. Key items include a CAT 365CL excavator, a D8N crawler tractor, a 973C front loader, a 14H motor grader, and various Grove and Franna cranes, as well as heavy transport trucks and light fleet vehicles.

Base prices range from US$ 667 for smaller equipment to over US$ 80,000 for certain lifting units. Interested bidders must register on the official platform and provide a US$ 500 bid security deposit. The auction aims to support circular economy practices within the mining sector by extending the useful life of assets through reuse and relocation.
