Southern Power Corporation warns of fraudulent website and malware

The Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) has issued an urgent warning regarding a fraudulent website at the domain evnquocgia(. )com. The site mimics the official branding, logos, and interface of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) to deceive users.

Scammers are using fake Google Play and App Store badges on the site to trick individuals into downloading a malicious application named ‘CSKH EVNSPC’. Once installed, this malware can intercept OTP authentication messages, overlay fraudulent interfaces on banking apps to steal login credentials, record screens, and remotely control mobile devices to drain bank accounts.

EVNSPC emphasizes that the electricity sector never requests customers to install applications via APK files or direct links sent through messages or social media. The official customer service application is available exclusively through the legitimate Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
