Southern Transitional Council branches prepare for September rallies

Local executive bodies of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Loder and the Tawahi district of Aden held monthly meetings to discuss political developments and deteriorating living conditions in southern Yemen.

In Loder, officials highlighted a severe crisis regarding the shortage of gas and petroleum products, which they stated is stifling citizens. The meeting also focused on preparations for a mass rally on September 1st to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Southern Army. Leaders emphasized a refusal to participate in conflicts outside their own territory.

In Aden, the Tawahi STC leadership discussed the impact of service shortages, which they characterized as a systematic war against citizens, blaming Saudi involvement for exacerbating the situation. The body also set a date for activating local centers and called for mass mobilization for the September 1st rally to demonstrate political steadfastness and support for the STC leadership under Aidarous al-Zoubaidi.
