Southern Transitional Council rejects deployment of northern forces in Aden

The Southern Transitional Council (STC) local leadership in Aden has issued a strong statement rejecting reports of attempts to deploy what are termed ‘Yemeni Northern Emergency Forces’ into the capital. The STC expressed absolute political and popular rejection of the presence or stationing of these forces in Aden under any justification.

The council characterized the move as an attempt to re-impose occupation and a provocation against the will of the southern people. The leadership warned that the presence of such formations poses a direct threat to security and social peace, holding those responsible for facilitating the deployment accountable for any resulting consequences.
