Southern Transitional Council supporters hold mass rallies in Aden and Hadramaut

Hundreds of thousands of supporters of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) gathered in Aden and Hadramaut to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Southern Army. The mass demonstrations aimed to highlight the role of the Southern Armed Forces in combating terrorist organizations and securing international maritime routes in the Bab al-Mandab strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian and Red Seas.

In Aden, political leaders emphasized the importance of the Southern Armed Forces as a sovereign national achievement. Meanwhile, in Mukalla, the capital of Hadramaut, the event was met with tension. Reports indicate that security forces used live ammunition to disperse crowds and conducted a series of arrests targeting STC members and leaders. These security operations included raids on homes belonging to STC officials in the coastal regions of Hadramaut.
