Southern Yemen leader warns of imminent arrest of Houthi intelligence operative

Khattab Baras, head of the Southern National Youth Council, has announced the imminent arrest of Abdulrahman Khalaf, whom he accuses of managing dangerous Houthi intelligence networks within liberated provinces in Yemen.

Baras stated that Khalaf is expected to be imprisoned within hours following the accumulation of security files and evidence. The accusations include leading secret cells under the direct guidance of Houthi intelligence and engaging in recruitment and polarization tactics. Baras characterized Khalaf's methods as being more dangerous than active combatants, noting that the suspect used political sensitivities and false narratives regarding regional sovereignty to influence southern citizens.
