Southridge High School student selected for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Savannah Phillips, a student at Southridge High School in Kennewick, Washington, has been selected to perform in the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26. Phillips will participate as a member of the Macy’s Great American Marching Band.

Phillips serves as the color guard captain for Southridge and is a cellist in the school orchestra. Her selection continues a family tradition, as she is the sixth sister in her family to perform in the parade.

Performers will have approximately two and a half days to learn marching drills and routines in New York City before the 2.5-mile parade route begins.
