Southwest Airlines flight attendant found dead in Hawaii
The Honolulu Police Department is investigating the death of Jenny Lupton, a 50-year-old Southwest Airlines flight attendant who was found dead during a layover in Waikiki, Hawaii, on August 20.
Reports indicate that Lupton fell from the 24th floor of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, landing in a waste bin. While the death is currently being treated as an unattended death, her family has expressed suspicion regarding the circumstances and does not believe it was a suicide. They noted that her final text message to a colleague was a routine question about upcoming plans.
Southwest Airlines issued a statement expressing deep distress over the loss of their colleague and confirmed they are cooperating with local authorities. The family has requested assistance from the attorney general in Lupton’s home state of Oklahoma to ensure a thorough investigation.
