Southwest Airlines flight attendant found dead in Hawaii hotel fall

The Honolulu Police Department is investigating the death of Jenny Lupton, a 50-year-old Southwest Airlines flight attendant, who was found dead at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Lupton’s body was discovered near a dumpster early on a Thursday morning following a work layover.

Medical examiners indicated that Lupton appeared to have fallen from her 24th-floor hotel balcony. The Honolulu Police Department has assigned its Homicide Detail to the case, which is tasked with examining murders, suicides, and other suspicious or unexplained fatalities. While detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and conducting interviews, they have not yet determined the official cause or manner of death.

Lupton’s family, including her sister Tresa and niece Hannah, has expressed skepticism regarding the possibility of suicide. They have raised concerns about potential foul play or a freak accident, noting that Lupton had been in good spirits and was enjoying her time in Hawaii prior to the incident. Southwest Airlines confirmed the death and stated they are cooperating with local authorities while offering support to the family.
