Southwest Airlines offers 90,000‑Point Credit Card Bonus and highlights cheap Hawaiian island‑hopping redemptions

Southwest Airlines announced that its Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card now provides a 90,000‑point sign‑up bonus after $3,000 in spend within the first three months. The bonus counts toward the 135,000 points required for a Companion Pass, which lets a traveler bring a companion for just taxes.

The airline also uses a flat award chart for inter‑island flights in Hawaii, charging 4,000 points for a one‑way trip regardless of fare class. This static pricing yields redemption values of roughly 2.2‑4.2 cents per point, far above the typical 1‑1.5 cents earned on mainland routes.
