UK and Latvia see soaring temperatures and sunny skies

Across the United Kingdom, weather services report a heat‑spike in late June with daytime highs frequently reaching 30 °C to 36 °C in towns such as Haslemere, Okehampton, Crediton, Dartmouth, and Petersfield. Most forecasts call for clear or mostly‑sunny skies, light breezes and only brief, patchy showers in the evenings. Nighttime lows stay in the high teens, providing warm but tolerable conditions.

In Latvia, the Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre predicts continued warm weather through the end of the month, with temperatures already hitting 21 °C–26 °C and a hot air mass expected to push readings above 30 °C later in the week. An anticyclone will dominate, keeping days predominantly sunny and dry, though isolated thunderstorms may develop toward the month’s end.

Both regions are experiencing an unusually hot spell for early summer, with sunshine prevailing and only occasional rain.
