Southwest Papua inventories waqf land in Raja Ampat

The Southwest Papua Provincial Government, through the Department of Environment, Forestry, and Land (DLHKP), has launched an initiative to inventory waqf land and other social facilities in Raja Ampat Regency. The program aims to provide legal certainty and protection for lands used for religious, educational, health, and social purposes.

Officials noted that many social and religious land plots currently lack complete documentation or adequate legal status. The inventory process involves collecting accurate data on location, area, usage, and administrative documents to facilitate land registration and the expedited issuance of waqf land certificates.
