Soverato driving school bus destroyed by fire on SS182

A driving school bus was completely destroyed by fire on the SS182 state road near Soverato, Italy. The fire originated in the engine compartment while the vehicle was traveling from Soverato Superiore toward the coastal area.

An instructor and a student were on board at the time of the incident. Both individuals noticed the flames coming from the engine and were able to abandon the vehicle immediately, escaping without injury.

Firefighting teams from Soverato and Chiaravalle Centrale responded to the scene, supported by a water tanker from Catanzaro. While the firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze and secured the area, the bus was a total loss. The Carabinieri were also present at the scene, and the road was temporarily closed to traffic to allow for emergency operations and the subsequent removal of the vehicle.
