Soybean prices surge above 500,000 pesos per ton in Rosario

Argentina's Rosario soybean price rose to an average of 510,000 Argentine pesos per tonne (about 345 USD), the first time it has broken the 500,000‑peso mark in six months. The rebound follows a recovery in international oilseed markets, a temporary suspension of export‑rights duties introduced in September 2025, and heightened demand linked to U.S. climate‑related buying, biodiesel promotion and flour consumption.

In the Rosario physical grain market, soybeans dominated trading volume on 21 July, accounting for the bulk of transactions while corn saw stable near‑term interest and wheat activity remained low. The market’s stability did not prevent soy from consolidating its position as the leading crop in the local exchange.
