Zion Suzuki: PSG transfer collapses as Aston Villa enters race

The transfer of Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has collapsed at the final stage. Despite an agreement between the clubs for a fee of approximately 35 million euros and a private jet being arranged for medical examinations, the deal fell through due to disputes regarding agent commissions and additional demands from Suzuki’s entourage.

Following the collapse of the PSG deal, Aston Villa has emerged as a primary suitor. The English club has reportedly matched the 35 million euro offer and is in advanced negotiations to secure the Japanese goalkeeper. This potential move could trigger a domino effect in the transfer market: if Suzuki joins Aston Villa, the club may be more willing to sell their current goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, to Juventus.

Juventus, having missed out on a potential loan of Suzuki through PSG, has renewed its interest in Martinez. The Italian club is also monitoring other options, including Ederson and Guglielmo Vicario, as they seek to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
