Soyuz rocket launches Progress MS-35 cargo spacecraft to ISS

A Russian Soyuz 2.1b rocket successfully launched the Progress MS-35 unpiloted cargo spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on September 16, 2026. The mission, part of the Progress 96 series, aims to deliver approximately three tons of essential supplies to the International Space Station (ISS).

The cargo includes 842 kilograms of fuel, 420 kilograms of water, 50 kilograms of oxygen, and various food supplies. The spacecraft is scheduled to autonomously dock with the Russian Poisk module's space-facing port on September 19. Once docked, the Progress MS-35 is expected to remain connected to the orbiting laboratory for approximately five months to support the Expedition 75 crew.
