Sozopol divers find missing 7-year-old boy near Harmanite Beach

Divers have located a 7-year-old boy who went missing in the sea near Harmanite Beach, close to Sozopol. The child was found in the area near the last lifeguard station on the southern part of the beach.

The incident began the previous evening when a 52-year-old father and one of his sons were swept away by strong currents while swimming. Although lifeguards managed to rescue the father and one child, the 7-year-old boy remained missing in the water.

A large-scale search operation was launched, involving Bulgarian and Polish rescuers, Border Police boats, a Bulgarian Navy ship, divers, and drones from both the police and Baltic Rescue. The search continued through the night and resumed with increased resources the following morning until the child was located.
