DAX and US Stock Indices Reach Record Highs on Iran‑War Hope

European and American equity markets posted fresh all‑time highs on Wednesday. Germany’s DAX climbed past 26,200 points, breaking the 26,000‑point psychological barrier, while the MDAX also rose. The rally was fueled by optimism that the Iran‑Hormuz conflict may soon be resolved, a drop in Brent crude to around $80 a barrel, and strong earnings reports from technology and healthcare firms such as Fresenius and Siemens Energy.

In the United States, the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average each set new records, with the S&P 500 up about 1.8 % to 7,736 points and the Dow gaining roughly 1.7 % to 54,300 points. The Nasdaq 100 posted its best four‑day gain in over a year, driven by solid corporate earnings and the same easing of oil‑price pressures. Analysts noted that the combination of lower energy costs, a hopeful diplomatic outlook, and the ongoing earnings season is encouraging risk‑on sentiment across global markets.
