Luisa Stefani and Gabriela Dabrowski win SP Open doubles title
Luisa Stefani and Gabriela Dabrowski won the WTA 250 SP Open doubles title in São Paulo, defeating Americans Anna Rogers and Allura Zamarripa with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 10-7. The victory marks Stefani's second consecutive SP Open title and the fourth title for the Brazilian-Canadian partnership this season.
The final, held at Parque Villa-Lobos, was originally scheduled for Sunday but was interrupted by heavy rain, forcing the match to be completed on Monday. The duo, nicknamed “Stefanowski” by fans, has had a highly successful season, also winning titles in Dubai, Strasbourg, and Eastbourne, and reaching the Wimbledon final.
With this win, the pair has secured their qualification for the WTA Finals in Indian Wells. Stefani, currently ranked third in the world for doubles, celebrates her 17th career title.
