Spa-Francorchamps racing sees R-ace GP and Duqueine Team Oreca secure results
The racing weekend at Spa-Francorchamps saw significant activity across the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the European Le Mans Series, characterized by frequent interruptions and safety car interventions.
In the Michelin Le Mans Cup, R-ace GP secured a victory in the LMP3 category with Danial Frost and Enzo Peugeot taking first place in the no85 Duqueine. In the LMP3 Pro/Am class, the Belgian team Motorsport98, led by Eric De Doncker and Gillian Henrion, achieved their third consecutive win with the no98 Ligier-Toyota, extending their championship lead to 33 points. The GT3 class featured a tight finish between two Ferrari entries.
In the European Le Mans Series, the #30 Duqueine Team Oreca, driven by Doriane Pin, Giorgio Roda, and Richard Verschoor, secured a fifth-place finish in the LMP2 ProAm category. Despite starting from pole position and facing challenges from pit-stop strategies and multiple safety car periods, the team managed to recover to score championship points, aiming to rebuild momentum following previous technical setbacks.
