Space and Missile Defense Symposium showcases advanced military tech

The 2026 Space and Missile Defense Symposium took place in Huntsville, Alabama, showcasing advanced military technologies and defense capabilities. The event featured keynote addresses from high-ranking officials, including Lt. Gen. John Rafferty of the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command and Space Command chief Gen. Stephen Whiting.

Exhibits at the symposium highlighted a wide range of cutting-edge defense systems, including hypersonic glide interceptors, counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), and space-based capabilities. Featured technologies included Northrop Grumman’s Glide Phase Interceptor, Raytheon’s LTAMDS and SM-3 Interceptor, Lockheed Martin’s PAC-3 and THAAD missiles, and Boeing’s Small Diameter Bomb. Other displays included high-power microwave sensors from Radiance Technologies and various robotics and munitions from companies such as L3Harris and AV.
