Space Forge partners with Texas A&M for U.S. semiconductor manufacturing

Space Forge Inc., a subsidiary of the UK-based company specializing in space-manufactured semiconductor materials, has entered into a research collaboration agreement with the Texas A&M University System. This partnership serves as a foundational step for the company to establish its first United States facility for semiconductor materials manufacturing and processing.

The collaboration will utilize the Texas A&M System’s existing infrastructure, including cleanrooms, material processing, and characterization capabilities. Specifically, Space Forge will work with the Texas A&M Semiconductor Institute and the AggieFab Nanofabrication Facility. The initial phase of the partnership will focus on terrestrial material growth, characterization, and processing, with plans to expand into broader joint research opportunities across the university system over the next 12 to 24 months.

Texas was selected due to its established semiconductor and space ecosystem, which includes existing collaborators such as Intuitive Machines, Voyager, and Starlab.
