Space industry initiatives launch to support talent and business development
New initiatives are emerging to support talent development within the space and high-tech sectors. The Center for Space Applications and New Technologies at the University of Warsaw has launched recruitment for workshops designed to prepare participants for business or dual-use projects in the space industry. These workshops aim to facilitate entry into ‘spACE camp’, an intensive week-long bootcamp focused on transforming ideas into viable business projects.
Simultaneously, the European Space Foundation has introduced SpaceCert, a free competency certification system. Developed through the Erasmus+ program, SpaceCert allows students participating in the European Rover Challenge to have their individual technical and managerial contributions verified by an industry jury. This digital certification provides a verifiable record of skills in mechanics, electronics, and programming, helping young engineers transition into professional high-tech careers.
