Space Marine 2 releases second anniversary update and new Siege mode

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has released its second anniversary update, known as Patch 15.0, marking the beginning of the game’s third year of support. The update introduces a new Chaos-focused Siege mode on the planet Avarax, allowing players to control Heretic Astartes legions such as the Death Guard, Night Lords, Word Eaters, and Iron Warriors in PvE combat against Tyranids and Imperial Guard.

New equipment has been added, including a one-handed Thunder Hammer available to the Tactical, Assault, Bulwark, and Techmarine classes, alongside heroic weapon variants like the Power Axe and Auto Bolt Rifle.

Data released by Focus Entertainment regarding player preferences shows that the Tactical class is the most popular in PvE Operations, with 44.4 million selections over the past year. Other frequently chosen classes include Bulwark (40.1 million), Assault (33.3 million), and Heavy (30.4 million). The game’s Year 3 roadmap includes the addition of the Apothecary class, expected in early 2027.
