SpaceX Crew-12 astronauts prepare for return to Earth

Astronauts from the SpaceX Crew-12 mission are preparing to return to Earth following approximately six months aboard the International Space Station. During a recent press conference, the crew shared reflections on their life in orbit and the terrestrial comforts they anticipate most.

Mission Commander Jessica Meir expressed a desire to reunite with her daughter and experience nature, such as the wind and trees, while noting she will miss the constant sensation of microgravity and the views from space. Jack Hathaway highlighted the challenges of an explorer's lifestyle, specifically mentioning limited food choices and the lack of running water, stating that a long, hot shower is at the top of his list for relaxation. French astronaut Sophie Adenot also noted her anticipation for returning to water sports, which are not available in space.
