SpaceX financial position transforms following June 2026 IPO
Following SpaceX's initial public offering (IPO) in June 2026, the company's financial position underwent a massive transformation. According to analysis using Sankey diagrams, the company's net assets grew approximately threefold, rising from $41.6 billion at the end of March 2026 to $127.2 billion by the end of June 2026. This increase was driven by $85.7 billion in funds raised through the IPO, which is roughly 24.7 times the operating cash flow generated during that six-month period.
Cash and deposits also saw a significant surge, increasing sixfold from $15.9 billion to $93.5 billion. This shift improved the company's equity ratio from 40.7% to 66.0%, enhancing its overall financial stability. Much of the capital raised remains held as cash, representing 48.5% of total assets.
These financial shifts are highlighted in the new book ‘Mieru Dake Kessansho’ (Financial Statements You Can Just Look At) by Zaimani, published by Diamond Inc. The book utilizes Sankey diagrams to visually map the flow of money, making complex balance sheets and cash flow statements more intuitive for readers.
