SpaceX Crew-13 reaches ISS in record eight-hour flight FAST-MOVING

SpaceX launched the Crew-13 mission from Cape Canaveral, Florida, delivering four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) in a record-breaking eight-hour flight. This transit marks the fastest journey to the ISS ever completed by a U.S. spacecraft, aided by the station’s favorable orbital alignment at the time of launch.

The crew is led by NASA commander Jessica Watkins, a geologist and the first Black woman to lead a crew to orbit. The international team includes NASA astronaut Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov. The crew will spend approximately six months aboard the station conducting scientific research on human health and performance.

The mission follows a three-week delay caused by a fuel system leak in the Dragon capsule. The Crew-13 team replaces the previous Crew-12 occupants and will undergo a handover period before the departing astronauts return to Earth. The mission designation pays homage to the Apollo 13 mission.
