SpaceX to build massive Louisiana launch site

SpaceX has announced plans to construct a massive 125,000-acre launch site in the coastal marshes of Louisiana, near Pecan Island and Abbeville in Vermilion Parish. Upon completion, the facility is expected to become the largest spaceport complex in southern Louisiana.

Elon Musk recently visited the construction site alongside SpaceX leadership and Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry to mark the project. During the visit, public attention shifted toward Musk’s physical appearance in social media images, leading to online speculation regarding his health, posture, and previous spinal surgeries. Musk has previously disclosed undergoing five surgeries on his neck and back, including one following a severe spinal injury.
