Grokipedia returns with redesigned interface and AI-generated content
Elon Musk’s AI-driven encyclopedia, Grokipedia, has returned online with version 0.3 following a period of inactivity. The platform features a redesigned interface that includes recommended articles, trending topics, and a ‘virtual shelf’ displaying popular content in a book-like format.
Unlike Wikipedia, which relies on human volunteers, Grokipedia utilizes xAI’s Grok artificial intelligence to generate and verify its database, which now reportedly contains over 6 million articles. The new update also introduces a live editing view to track recent changes across its database.
The platform remains a subject of debate due to its reliance on AI for fact-checking and content creation. Critics and experts have raised concerns regarding potential biases, source selection, and the accuracy of AI-generated information, noting that the automated system may reflect specific political or libertarian viewpoints.
