Spain: 92% of drivers would fail theoretical driving exam

A study conducted by the Fundación Línea Directa, in collaboration with Fesvial and Etrasa, reveals that 92% of Spanish drivers would fail the theoretical driving exam if required to take it today. Only 8.1% of those tested passed the exam, which was identical to the official DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico) test.

The most frequent errors occurred in questions regarding motorcycles or mopeds (63%), followed by failure to recognize road signs (30%) and errors regarding road regulations such as speed limits and license types (27%). The study noted that knowledge degradation is more pronounced in older drivers, with 94.5% of those aged 55 and over failing the test.
